Camp Long is one of Seattle's best kept secrets. Located in West Seattle, this 68 acre park offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy nature, hike in the forest, camp overnight in rustic cabins, rock climb, and learn about natural history.
Rental facilities include a lodge with one meeting room, kitchen space, 10 cabins, two covered picnic areas, group fire ring, and climbing rock.  read more »

ABOUT THE PARK
Fairmount Playfield is next to Fairmount Park Elementary School. It has a Jr. soccer and softball field. The shelter house is decorated with a Native American mural painted by local teens.

Fairmount Playfield has been designated a "Pesticide Free Park".

Salmon Bay Natural Habitat

Restoration work here continues as the property has become a refuge for natural habitat, giving salmon smolts a better chance of gaining the weight they need to thrive in the open ocean. It also offers a public overlook and resting spot adjacent to the Burke-Gilman Trail completion, and an education site where people can learn more about the importance of Ballard's shoreline to the salmon recovery picture.

Ross Playfield Shelterhouse Rentals

The newly remodeled Ross Playfield Shelterhouse is located in a great neighborhood park. It is the idea location for birthday parties, summer picnics, community meetings, classes or other events.

Ross Playfield Shelterhouse wide doors roll open onto a large covered entrance. It is located adjacent to a children's play area and a grass playfield.

Loyal Heights Playfield

Golden Gardens

Located in Ballard on Puget Sound, this popular park offers extraordinary views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

A recent project restored two wetlands, established a short loop trail, and restored the northern beach. Golden Gardens offers strolls along a rugged coastline, hikes through forest trails, sunbathing on sandy beaches, fishing from a pier and a boat launch.

The park is also home to an off-leash area for dogs in the upper northern portion of the park.  read more »
