Wassa Dance is unique - I moved away from Seattle and there is nothing like it anywhere else. I miss the dance and the community more than anything!
I've been dancing with Lara for 8 years. It's been an incredible gift to have dance in my life again, and this dance is so soulful and grounded, and the music so uplifting! It's also a great workout for every part of your body.
The News Tribune has uncovered one of Ballard’s hidden treasures. Wassa Dance is a gift I give myself every week. The Sunday class, with live music, is particularly vibrant, but all the dance classes are rich with discovery, joy…and humor. Rock on, Wassa!
Wassa Dance has been a weekly part of my routine for 3 years now. I was looking for an uplifting, creative way to "exercise" outside the typical classes found at gyms. But I quickly learned that Wassa is more than exercise -- it is a wonderful, joyful way of expressing oneself. Great music, bountiful culture, plenty of sweat.
