The Ballard District Council acknowledges a few who stand out from the crowd. This is an opportunity for the community to recognize those persons who, through their contributions and accomplishments, have put this community on the map. Mayor Mike McGinn will join us to honor these persons who have done much to create the community which we enjoy today. This year’s award recipients are:

Jane and George Hancock, owners of Maritime Pacific Brewery
Steve Cohn, past president of Ballard District Council 2007-2009
Jesse Harris, Ballard’s nationally recognized young film producer
Barry Hawley, long-time active member of the Ballard business community
Art Olsen, formerly of Olsen’s Furniture and now Olsen’s Real Estate Associates
