Mattie Rose Edwards

Age 95, passed on to the Great Spirit, November 24, 2007 on a sunny day in Ballard. Born July 22, 1912 in Big Sky Country.
Beloved wife of over 60 years to Captain Paul Edwards (F/V Guardian). Rosie and Paul made their home in Sitka, Alaska, where she was a supporter of A.N.S. They moved to Ballard in 1960. Rosie and Paul enjoyed many driving trips together, and have lived their remaining years happily in Ballard.
Funeral Services were held at Wiggen and Sons Funeral Home. Burial Evergreen Memorial Park.
Velma Walton
Devoted mother and sister, born to Anna and Samuel Fandrich in Kief, North Dakota.
Preceded in death by her husband Guy, son Robert and brother Victor Fandrich. Leaving behind her daughter Jane Hawley (Phil); son Ronald; daughter-in-law Laurie; grandson Travis; granddaughters Stacey Hawley and Amie Sullivan (Mark); and great-grandson Robert Finnley Sullivan.
She was a member of the Golden Gardens Grandmother's club for 35 years. Her great hobby was making teddy bears for everybody she knew. In 1942 she came to Seattle where she met Guy and they were wed. Velma lived in Ballard for 60 years.
