| Article: | Ballard police Air pistol involved in neighbor conflict It was nearly 1 a.m. when police units were sent to a Ballard home on a report of loud music. While officers spoke to the neighbor who called 911, a man walked towards them. The neighbor had previous contact with the suspect that evening and said he was carrying a gun. Officer detained the suspect and found him very intoxicated or on drugs. He was wearing a shoulder holster with an air pistol in it. The suspect said there had been a prowler at his home recently. When the neighbor knocked on his door to ask him to turn down the music, the suspect did not know who he was and armed himself. The pistol was designed for competition and did not have the typical red tip. Officers advised the suspect to keep the gun inside the home. |
