Revenge poisoning suspected
The phone rang one day and the voice on the other end made a threat. The man who answered then woke up with a lump inside his throat and his eyes were burning. He looked up the symptoms on the Internet and believed he was poisoned. Later in the week he found what may have been evidence inside his car and called the police.
An officer looked saw some "white flakey" material in the middle console. "When I told him they looked like bread crumbs, he said he did not eat in his car...He also said that someone has been hacking into his computer for the past two weeks, and that his phone may be bugged. He picked up his phone and had me listen to the dial tone. There was a slight humming and buzzing and he stated that this was evidence that someone was listening to him," the officer said. The man believed a company had a lawsuit against, was retaliating against him.
Assault with pepper spray
After being hit in the face with pepper spray, a convenience store clerk activated his panic button and the cops responded. The clerk was trying to wash the pepper spray off when police arrived. His face was visibly red and irritated. He said a suspect had come in the store, walked up to the counter and used the attacked with the spray. He then grabbed the money from the cash register and ran out. The suspect had a long beard and a scraggly appearance with a necklace made of silver colored metal spikes. The clerk described the suspect as a "kinda hippy guy."
Rum bottle leads to arrest
When a young man passed in front of a police car with a bottle of rum sticking out of his pockets, he was stopped for questioning. "The male began to run frantically through a yard...I shouted for him to stop and illuminated him with my flashlight...he got tangled in the thorn bushes alongside a house and I was able to catch him. Based on his extensive training and experience, the officer concluded the 20-year-old man was drunk. He was taken to jail for obstructing and minor in possession.
Water fight
Over on Queen Anne hill, a couple that had been dating for seven months got into a fight. She came home at 3:30 a.m. and the male was waiting for her. Inside the apartment, the woman asked him where he had been and the man laid on a bed and pulled the bed sheet over his head. She filled a plastic pitcher with water and poured it over the suspect. He then grabbed the woman's arm, took the water and poured it on her. The suspect left the scene after falling near the front door. The woman refused treatment and would not provide a statement to police.
Assault by fork
When an argument started between a couple, the woman charged at the man and punched him in the arm. She then picked up a barbecue fork and made threats. When the cops showed up, the woman said the man started the fight by throwing a cigarette at him. Police took the fork away and arrested the woman.
Shoplifter has sharp conclusion
Two people began fighting in the parking lot of a grocery store. It turned out a male suspect had gone into the store and stuck three bottles of wine in his pants. A store security officer flashed his badge and the suspect reached for a knife. After a struggle the suspect was handcuffed. Police officers searched him and found 5-inch fixed blade knife, marijuana, five bottles of hair care products and a box of chocolates. The suspect was jail.

While standing near a pile of scrap metal on Shilshole Avenue, a suspect caught the eye of witnesses who called 911.
