Doris K. Hendricks

83, passed away on July 22, 2007.

Doris is survived by her husband, John G. Hendricks, of 64 years. Her daughter, Jeanne Ward (Robert) and sons Stanley (Bonnie) and Paul (Kathy), six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren. Doris is preceded in death by her brother David W. Carlson in 1973.

Doris (Carlson) graduated from South Kitsap High School and Bremerton Business College. She married John in 1943. She worked at the Puget Sound Commissioned Officers Club Navel Shipyard in Bremerton, Navy Supply Depot at Pier 91 until she was the accountant and vice president of Hendricks Electric Co. Inc., Seattle for forty years. She was a member of Our Redeemers Church for more than fifty years. She was also involved in scouting with all three children. During her retirement years, she volunteered at Our Redeemers Church and at the Nordic Heritage Museum.

The Memorial Service is on Sunday, August 19, 2007, 2 p.m. at the Nordic Heritage Museum, 3014 N.W. 67th St., Seattle, Washington 98117. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Nordic Heritage Museum or your favorite charity.
