Short game is downfall for boys golf

The Ballard High School boys golf team lost its opening match of the 2009 season by seven strokes to Inglemoor High School on Sept. 8.

"We should have won," said coach Casey McMullin.

He said the Beavers need to work on their short game, including putts, if they want to improve.

Ballard faces Woodinville High School at 4 p.m. on Sept. 10 at Echo Falls Golf Course.
